I've been busy preparing for a one day art show inside the American Gothic House. I had 24 paintings on display, two of which belong to the house's renter. I was working right up to the last minute--some of the paintings were still wet when I hung them on Friday night.
A HUGE thanks to Beth Howard for helping organize the show, and for letting it happen in her house! Not only did she take down all her usual decorations, she allowed me to pound new nail holes into her walls and did lots of PR for the event. I don't know how I'd stay sane without her!
About the Artist Molly Moser currently resides in Des Moines, Iowa, where she finds lots to love in the people, the cultural events, bike trails, water, and farmer's markets. She continues to study art and to paint, draw, and take photos. Molly hopes to move west to attend graduate school.
Molly’s paintings explore the relationships, emotions and interactions that occur between families, friends and partners, humans and nature. She creates interior spaces to tell these stories through the personal objects they contain.
